SAM - Goals of Prototype
Regarding data storage:

Create files of simulated events. Catalog events and files with the Database.
Do complete bookkeeping about files and events, their creator processes
etc.

Store files using SAM "Resource Manager". Use actual robot when possible
through Enstore, starting with limited STK access and moving to Grau when
installed in December 1998 timeframe.

Be ready to handle (store and track) Monte Carlo data in January 1999.
Regarding data retrieval:

Specify data to be accessed for analysis (as a "Project") and determine
the access mode: Define a Project.

Attach a Project to a "Station" whose resources (disk etc) are used
to make files for that Project accessible.

Actually run projects at stations. Demonstrate multiple concurrent consumers
at multiple projects running for a "long" period of time (one day). Deliver
files from the Mass Store to the consumers using interface to Enstore.

d0om, and SAM classes
